Growing up with ultra-sensitive, acne-prone skin meant every product was a risk. Skincare and makeup weren’t self-care they were experiments. Painful breakouts, boils, papules, irritation… it never really stopped.
Makeup entered my life through my mother’s vanity moments of confidence and celebration. But as I learned to do my own makeup, I noticed a pattern: every event was followed by days of inflamed, irritated skin.
Instead of blaming my skin, I began questioning ingredients. I studied skin types, undertones, color theory, and formulation science. I learned what truly works for sensitive skin and what quietly damages it. When I switched to clean, minimal, non-comedogenic ingredients, my skin began to change.
